Are There Any Saw Palmetto Side Effects in Treating BPH?

Saw Palmetto Side Effects

saw palmettoSaw Palmetto is a commonly-used herb in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, or BPH.  It’s more popular in Europe than it is in the United States.  Still, there are dozens of formulations for BPH treatment in the U.S. which contain Saw Palmetto.  Side effects are uncommon, mostly mild stomach or intestinal upset, which can be essentially eliminated by taking it with food.

As a matter of fact, most studies have found that Saw Palmetto side effects were no more common than with placebo.

What about effectiveness?  There have been many studies that have shown that Saw Palmetto relieves BPH symptoms with great effectiveness.  Some studies have shown effectiveness matching that of Proscar, the most commonly prescribed drug to treat BPH.

It seems to work primarily by inhibiting the enzyme that converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone, or “DHT”, in the same way Proscar does.  Since there really aren’t any Saw Palmetto side effects to speak of, many men prefer it to the prescription drugs, which do have side effects, ranging from mild to quite severe, such as dizziness, fainting, and impotence.

Actually there’s something better than Saw Palmetto, or any other herbal formulation designed to treat BPH.  It’s called Ayurstate.  It’s a blend of eight herbs, some of which have been used in India for thousands of years in the Ayurvedic medical tradition.

Ayurstate works in a number of ways.  Their people state that there are 250 beneficial effects on the body, as a result of the dozens of compounds in the eight herbs.

It reduces DHT in the prostate by blocking the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone, the same way Proscar and Saw Palmetto do.  It relaxes muscles in the prostate and bladder that can exert pressure on the urethra, so that the bladder can empty more completely, and urine can flow through the urethra more easily.

It reduces inflammation in the bladder and urethra, enhances immune system response, and reduces protein deposits in prostatic ducts, among other things.

Ayurstate is so effective that it’s guaranteed.  If a user isn’t 100% satisfied, he can get 110% of his money back, no questions asked.

There is a great deal of information on the Ayurstate website—it’s like an encyclopedia of the prostate and its problems and treatment.  Well worth visiting, just for the education.

I review every Prostate remedy out there. I REALLY like this one —> Ayurstate
