Alternative Prostate Treatment—Effective, or Not?

by Louis Miller on September 23, 2010

If you’re a man with an enlarged prostate– and if you’re over age 60, the odds say you are, you may be one Prostate Formulaof those who would prefer not to take prescription drugs.  You would rather look at an “alternative” prostate treatment—but you’re not sure if they’re effective and safe.

“Alternative” or “Natural” prostate treatment has a nice ring to it, but are there alternative prostate treatments that really do relieve the symptoms of an enlarged prostate gland, and that do so safely?

In the U.S., many if not most mainstream doctors pooh-pooh the idea that natural substances like saw palmetto, pygeum, stinging nettle, or pumpkin seed oil are effective as alternative prostate treatments.

In Europe, these alternative prostate treatments are more widely accepted, but in the U.S., doctors are more wedded to the prescription drug route, because they’ve been persuaded that only a drug which has gotten FDA approval, at a cost of hundreds of millions of dollars, should be considered effective.

They dismiss the studies and accounts of successful use of alternative prostate treatments such as saw palmetto, which has been well-studied, as merely “anecdotal” and therefore meaningless.

The problem, of course, is that since natural substances can’t be patented, no company can afford to spend that kind of money on studies and trials of plant-based “alternative” prostate treatments.

An Alternative Prostate Treatment

There is a very interesting new natural prostate treatment called Ayurstate.  It’s a blend of eight herbs which have been used in Ayurvedic medicine in India for thousands of years.  Some of its modes of operation are:

  • It blocks the conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone or DHT, which is associated with enlarged prostate glands.  This is the same mechanism as Proscar, a widely-prescribed drug which reduces prostate size in some men, but which can have severe side effects.
  • It relaxes smooth muscle fibers in the neck of the bladder, and in the prostate.  This relieves pressure on the urethra, and allows freer urine flow and more complete emptying of the bladder.  This is the same mechanism as Flomax, another widely-prescribed drug, which also can have severe side effects.
  • It reduces inflammation in the prostate and urethra.
  • It enhances immune system function.
  • It reduces protein deposits in prostatic ducts.

Most of all, it reduces symptoms caused by an enlarged prostate.Prostate Formula

Ayurstate has performed so well for so many men, that it’s guaranteed to work for you.  If you are not 100% satisfied, you get 110% of your money back, no questions asked.

The Ayurstate website is like an encyclopedia of easy-to-understand information about the prostate and its problems.  There is also an extensive “Testimonials” section, and an extensive section on how Ayurstate works, which goes into a lot of detail.  The site is well worth a visit.

I review every Prostate remedy out there. I REALLY like this one —> Ayurstate
